FBI Fashion College has a full-time Careers Agency that specialises in fashion internships, Fashion Recruitment and Fashion Events.
The FBI Careers Agency aims to guide students on the right career path, provide an insight into the fashion industry and enable them to create a CV that tells their ‘story of fashion’.
Internships are a vital part of every course at FBI and are a great platform for those wanting to start a career within the fashion industry. Internships are imperative for those who wish to gain knowledge and skills in their area of choice, network with industry professionals and discover new areas of the industry they may not have known would be of interest to them.
Fashion recruitment is also an integral part of the Careers agency. FBI has established, built and maintained relationships with companies over the years which has contributed to the success of over 1600 students being placed into Fashion industry roles since the inception of FBI in 1994. The high calibre of students has undoubtedly also added to this success. The FBI Careers Agency have placed candidates into companies such as Hermès, Gucci, Vogue Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar Magazine, Zimmermann, Camilla, Zara, Topshop, Cue and Shona Joy just to name a few.
Events are also another creative avenue that students can assist with. This is a great opportunity for students to watch a fashion production come to life and be a part of the chaos backstage and front of house. FBI Students are lucky enough to assist at major events such as MBFW, David Jones’ shows and Myer.
The FBI Careers Agency is available to companies free of charge.

The FBI Workplace Training Program is designed to provide students with necessary experience and on-the-job training to begin their careers in the Fashion industry.
Workplace Training is a compulsory module in each FBI course, aiming to prepare students for employment and give them a chance to apply theory to practice. Workplace Training also allows companies to assess students for potential positions within the business.
FBI works with esteemed companies such as Camilla, Carla Zampatti, Ellery, Giorgio Armani, Hermes, Vogue, Zara and Zimmermann.
The FBI Positions Vacant program allows companies access to a large database of prospective staff, whether for an entry level position or a role requiring significant experience. FBI candidates include not only current students and graduates looking for their first Fashion role, but also alumni who have prior industry experience and are looking for new positions.
All FBI candidates have studied fully government accredited courses in Fashion Business and/or Fashion Design. FBI Personnel Services screen all candidates for suitability according to the job description and criteria. This unique working relationship between FBI and Fashion companies has seen over 1450 FBI students gain positions in the Fashion industry.
FBI students are actively involved in the industry and have provided invaluable assistance in more than 400 Fashion events. This gives students behind the scenes insight into the production process of large scale events. Students are involved in varying capacities, including designer relations , event coordinators, dressers and ushers.

Fashion Company Visits and Industry Guests provide companies with the opportunity to speak directly to the future of the Fashion industry.
Company Visits to head offices, design studios and creative spaces provide students with the opportunity to see inside the premises of a Fashion business and have a greater understanding of how the company operates daily.
Fashion Industry Guests allow Fashion industry professionals to pass on valuable advice regarding study, work experience and career challenges.
The FBI Mentor Program is a selective program whereby a student is paired with a Fashion industry mentor according to their career aspirations. The mentor provides guidance and advice throughout a series of mentorship meetings.
